What are the symptomps of "electromagnetic stator defect" in an electric motor.

What kind of signals should I catch.

If there is electromagnetic stator defect winding temperature will go on increasing. You take Coasting Down of the euipment & there you will find sudden decerease of vibration level as soon as switced off the machine. Generally this problem will indicate in 1X RPM & you have to identify whether it is unbalance or electromagnetic problem by taking Coasting Down. In unbalance there will be no sudden decrease , vibration willdecrease slowly as per RPM.
