I would like to know expert opinions about which technique is more efficient when used alone for machine condition monitoring : wear debris analysis(ferrography) or vibrational analysis? Thanks

Wear debrys analysis as a consecuence of an abnormal particle count (higher than spected or targeted) in most cases will give you earlier failure notification than vibrational analysis
