I represent a company that has an innovative technology with potential application in oil analysis.

Our technology allows us to micro machine glass with lasers. In other words, we can take a block of glass and make micro fluidic channels and micro optical waveguides in it with lasers.

We believe that this technology can be applied to make miniature oil monitoring devices. Potential benefits include small size, mor accurate/comprehensive analysis and a reduction in cost.

Also, could you please comment on whether or not minituarization and cost reduction is an important aspect for oil monitoring systems.

In-line sensor technology for real-time oil condition surveillance is finding its commencement to develop smart machinery systems. One potential domian is having a real-time understanding of the chemistry (degradation and contamination) of in-service oils. Currently FTIR technique is employed as an off-line laboratory instrument for this purpose. Is there any liklihood that your technolgy can be integrated with this aspect in oil analysis?

Well,this can be a very good tool for detecting tracers in ppm level in oils with known wavelength, and can be perhaps be utilised as a on-sight monitoring kit for oils in field to detect contamination / adultration! Your comments is solisited as we are into usage of Markers in our products and needs a good reliable and user friendly kit to monitor at field level!
