Has anyone tried the Fuel Sniffer
Fuel Dilution Meter sold by Spectro Inc. I am interested to know if it works. I have asken them for references of people usingn the product but they have not provided any. Thanks in advance |

We have been using it since 2004 on all engine oil samples with flash point at 186 deg. c. Its a good trending tool, but as an single sample instrument I would recommend to have some sort of verification (like FT-IR or viscosity). It's limitation is measurement at max 10% fuel dilution and the need to have accurate 2% fuel dilution standards available of each fuel type analysed.
Overall I would recommend it, but only as an trending tool. |
