anyone familiar with setaflash? how does the result compare with pmcc or coc?

same as a PMCO only automatic in testing i believe. COC is a open test and gives highest numbers.

Bruce is correct in regard to the relationship of results. However, all of those tests (Setaflash, PMCC (Pensky-Martens Closed Cup), and COC (Cleveland Open Cup), could be run automatically nowadays. See link: http://www.mastrad.com/afnor.htm.

John you are right I think setaflash was/is just a "brand" of flash point tester NOT an actual Test type.

"Setaflash" was a closed cup...it had a little shutter door that opened up and swung a flame into place--now that takes me back ;-)
