Mulder,
Most lubricant company offer same brands (Tellus in this instance) at different viscosities available under ISO VG nomenclature and to meet the different application requirement like pumpability etc. In this instance the next ISO VG grade after 22 is 32 followed by 46, 68, 100 and so on. It may be noted that the additive packages probably will be the same for the same brand (like Tellus) the different viscosities will have its own physical parameters. In this instance the values of flash point,Viscosity Index, Aniline point, Demulsibility would be marginally lower. This marginal difference is not likely to have any effect on the performance. Are you looking at these two grades from the design or usage point of view for your gate automation system . The response time of ISO VG 22 will be better than ISO VG 32 . But still not much. |
