I just read the article in the "Filtration Tips Newsletter" (2/24/05)about doing a Particle Count on diesel oils. I can not find any information on the dilution ratios used to obtain an accurate particle count.

Is there any information out there to get me started? Our offsite lab does the majority of testing for us but, I need to have something in place in case we have a rush job where we need numbers that would be fairly close to lab results.

Thanks for any information,
Pete

I use a pore blockage particle counter for particle counting on engine oil samples. No dilution is necessary with this method.
