Hi all,
We are a reasonably large oil analyis laboratory processing around 1200 samples per day, of these 42% are diesel engine samples. We use GC to determine if there is fuel in the sample, but due to the number of samples we cannot test every one. Therefore we employ a relatively simple viscosity screen, followed by a retest system if the previous sample in the engine history was diluted, however, as you can imagine some samples fall through the cracks, especially those which are sludged and diluted. Does anyone know of a way we can improve this screening system utilising a combination of methods such as V100, V40 and FTIR |
