Has anyone tried the Fuel Sniffer
Fuel Dilution Meter sold by Spectro Inc. I am interested to know if it works. I have asken them for references of people usingn the product but they have not provided any.

We have been using it since 2004 on all engine oil samples with flash point at 186 deg. c. Its a good trending tool, but as an single sample instrument I would recommend to have some sort of verification (like FT-IR or viscosity). It's limitation is measurement at max 10% fuel dilution and the need to have accurate 2% fuel dilution standards available of each fuel type analysed.

Overall I would recommend it, but only as an trending tool.
