Hi, I want to identified the components of my sample product from the reaction of vegetables oil with alkene. Before,I was added Methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) and trimethylsulfonium
hydroxide(TMSH) for transesterification into my sample and then analyzed them with GC ms, the result was not good. My queston is "can I use methanol instead of TBME and TMSH, or is there any better substance for that" . Could anyone give me some information about it?Thank before.
