Hi, i recently recieved the newsletter, and one of the articles concerning the Reader's challenge, justifying an oil analysis mentions the ISO Standards ISO 23/21/18 and ISO 14/12/9. I am relatively new to this;

Could anyone please tell me what these standards are?

Many thanks!

These are cleanliness codes from ISO4406, a three number code representing qty of particles per ml. >4µm/>6µm/14µm

23/21/18 is not very clean, but 14/12/9 is.
