Can anyone advice on laboratory information management systems, like Trakka , Bently Lube, COAST (from Spectro) and Passport (Predict)? Which are better?

Make your own...we purchased one of the commercially off the shelf oil analysis software and it was garbage...we discontinued it after less than 6 months. One of our in-house employees came up with a better solution, home made....the last thing you need is an IT professional helping you, all it willdo is drive up the costs...find soneone in your organization who is good with computers and softwware....

Duarte, this largely depends on what you want.
Reports can be read and interogated via supplier web site, more complicated sampling systems incorporated into maintenance plans(Dingo for example) are available. It is possible for results and diagnosis to be electronically entered directly into Dingo and similar but the set up costs preclude all but those with relatively large numnbers of samples. |
