I have read your forum with interest. Can somebody amongst you oil experts tell me if the aluminum & silica levels are high for a vehicle in the country/rural area that spends 1/3 of it's time on dirt roads. The operating temp range has been between -10C~+52C during this last service period. The air filter is a double oil foam filter as the paper filters only last 10000km out here.
Does anybody have the anaylsis/composition of new De**ac 1? Your Si & Al levels are not high at all for 11000km on this oil.
Do you know why you have 1% fuel in the oil? I would be more concerned about that. |

Thanks Mr Hughes for your reply.
Re the fuel %, my only thought was in the last few weeks the vehicle has only done very short trips?? & any unburnt fuel from starting would not have been evaporated due to oil temp not reaching proper temp. Do you know the composition of De**ac 1? Thanks. (Why does this website keep changing the spelling of DE**AC)?? |
