I assume that direct reading ferrography (DRF) limited to magnetic particles (primarily steel).

To what extent is analytical ferrography (AF) limited to magnetic particles (primarily steel)?

I see a wall chart associated with analytical ferrography that identifies non-magnetic things like babbit wear particles, fibers, molybdenum disulfied, aluminum particles, etc. What's up with that?
