Just a heads up for anyone looking for an inexpensive sample shaker. We went to purchase a sample shaker from Predict and found out they are not carrying them anymore. We ended up purchasing a Tornado II for slightly over $300. it agitates the sample up/down, side to side and back and forth. With a couple of modifiactions it will agitate any size container we utilize.
We performed a particle count on samples agitated by hand and with the shaker. The sample from the shaker had a higher particle count which we feel in indicative of the true conditions. |

Pete:
Are you degassing the sample after agitation before counting? If so, what is your procedure? Thanks. |
