who offers dyes and lights to help find oil leaks in systems and does it have any negitive effects on hydraulic oil properties?

I have used Tracer Products lubricant and coolant dyes before with good results. Can't say I have ever had any negative side effects on the lubricant. They have a fairly informative website. www.tracerline.com

I've used Dye Penetrant.

Added benefit, it is approved for use on SS Nuclear piping.
