I work for a manufacturer that specializes in lithography and corrogated printing. I have been asked to compile a report that explores the advantages of a bearing maintenance program, specifically analysis and predictive maintenance.
I am interested in any case studies people can offer or link me to regarding predictive bearing maintenance programs at other companies. However, ANY information or advice anyone has to offer would be greatly appreciated. If you can link to or provide case studies from other companies in the lithography field, you'll be my hero. Thanks! |

Hello. You have probably long since completed your report, however I thought you may appreciate a case study article that I wrote entitled "Soul Mates". It was published in the August 2006 issue of Uptime Magazine (an excellent publication if you are interested in predictive technologies) and was very well received by my peers in the condition monitoring industry. The article details the synergy that takes place between Vibration Analysis and Bearing Analysis. You can either register with Uptime (free) and view the August issue online, or I can send you a PDF. (The PDF has more accurate and detailed information).

Thank you, Ivamcin. Let me know how you make out. Athena has emailed me to let me know:
"I spent some quality time with your article last evening and I don’t believe I could have asked for a more informative piece. Aside from being remarkably eloquent and engaging given the content matter, the information contained can be easily digested..." I hope it is helpful for you as well. If you (or anyone else reading this post for that matter) have any questions or comments, feel free to post them here and we'll get some good dialogue started.
