Hi
I recently had an oil change performed at a quick oil lube place, five days later, the car started sputtering, badly, as well as white smoke coming from the exhaust and from under the hood. Upon further inspection, there was oil all over the engine and spark plugs. When the car was put in for repair, we were advised that the oil was overfilled by 2.5 quarts, therefore the coil pack had to be replaced, along with the spark plugs. After a compression check all 4 of the valves have low compression. Should I attempt to have the engine repaired or should I look into replacing it?

Please help!!

You are still trying to cut corners and save money. If you stop paying cheap mechanics and buy the services of a quality mechanic you will save more money over the long haul. Pay for a good mechanic to look at the engine.
Hope this gives some direction.
