Hello,
I am planning to buy a new van and have a long trip planned (about 2,000 miles) immediately after purchasing the new van. Is this something that I should not do? I have heard that one should wait until the van is 'broken'. Any thougths or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks. |

LOL@ "broken." You mean broken in.
These days there is very little to worry about. Just vary your speed and don't just set the cruise control and stay at the same speed for miles and miles and miles. You want to vary the RPMs of the engine. Go relatively gently for the first few hundred miles, and get increasingly aggressive. By the second thousand miles you should probably take the engine up to redline a few times. |
