probably not run a used oil test to see only way to know for sure how long any oil will last.

You should easily run 10,000 kilometers with a good diesel oil.
Truck and industrial diesel engines are normally serviced by hours worked. Here, we service much larger engines every 250 hours and these engines hold 8 to 10 imperial gallons of oil. If you are averaging 50 mph, then 10,000 kilos should be under 150 hours - no problem. Like bruce381 mentioned, oil testing is a good idea. |

ROKKY,
AS YOU HAVE MUCH EXPERIENCE ABOUT THE OIL QUALITY,I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IS IT TRUE THAT SEMI SYNTHETIC OR FULLY SYNTHETIC ENGINE OIL WILL RUN FOR 30000,45000,60000 KILOMETERS OR EVEN LONGER AS CLAIM BY THE MANUFACTURERS. |

As stated above, you have to have the oil tested to make sure that it is safe to run for that long. Depending on operational conditions, oils can last a long time to as short as 1K. It all is dependant on conditions, both engine and environmenal.
Sorry that isn't the answer your looking for, but it is the best answer that can be given. You can't just make a blanket statement and say that a fully synthetic oil with a heavy additive package WILL last 50K. It needs to be verified through oil analysis at 10K, 20K, and so on. That way you will know just how long that particular oil will go in your application. Each oil will be different as well, so decide on a brand that has specifics that you think will do well, then go from there. |
