Got a 95 Dodge Neon i was topping off the engine oil and accidentally grabbed the wrong bottle and put about , i's say no more than a tablespoon of transmission fluid in instead before i realized...but finished topping off the engine oil level (with engine oil )0))
is that enough to do any dammage? 1 tablespoon of transmission fluid vs. almost 4qts of engine oil isn't enough to make a difference is it? |

Don't worry.
I am having problems seening how one tablespoon can cause any problemes, even if it contains substances not compatible with your engine oil (witch it probably dont anyway) |

Nope. I would not worry about it either. Just a drop in the bucket. There are some folks who put a whole quart of ATF in the crankcase thinking it will clean/flush the engine.

I have heard (read in car magazines) that there is benifit from putting some transmission fluid into your crankcase and also some motor oil into your transmission. A small amount will not cause a problem.
