I find no forum discussion on SFR's Protecta Product.
OilCompanySecret.com Can we please have some feedback on opinions of this product compared to Slick 50 which their sales rep compared it to in an email reply. I would like to know if I should be recommending this product to my GREEN group at myspace.com/timfrentz Thank you for any help you all can be here! -Tim Tim Frentz Director Nebraska Green Group frentzs.8k.com |

I assume these products are as additions to Engine oils.
The answer to the general question is that additions to finished oil formulations can be detrimental and seldom beneficial to the performance in the engine. Anyway the addition will render the oil not to the claimed performance API specification or engine builders requirements and may change the SAE viscosity band. Warrantees could be in danger if the OEM was aware of the additions. |

No way, no how would I use any additive ion a car.
All of Rogers points are valid. Want to be green? Do proper maintenance. Maybe a synthetic oil at an extended drain interval. By all means us a great filter. That is the best thing you can do to cut down wear and thus prolong engine life. If warranty is not a concern, do syn oil and a great filter. |

Neither of the previous reply's reviewed the product specs on the website.
This is a company product that goes into the FUEL and cleans injectors like new and lubs the gasket seals. They claim it improves mileage up to 20% by making your injectors clean like 95% new. Please read the website info at: oilcompanysecret.com before replying. I really need some good feedback here about this product before recommending a $15 dollar a bottle/treatment product. Thanks for any help you can be after reviewing the product website. Tim Frentz Director Nebraska Green Group frentzs.8k.com |

I've used this product and at best I might have gotten a 1%-3% increase in mileage. The best fuel additive I've used is made by Lubrication Engineers and it's called L-X Heavy Duty Chemical Supplement.
No signature required. My hand shake is good enough. |

asking about fuel additive snake oil on an oil website made me believe it was an oil additive.
As for the benefit from cleaning. You wrote the answer. It claims to increase mileage 20% by cleaning the injectors to 95%. So, did you have a 20% drop in mileage since new? If no, then snake oil. |
