What bearing clearances are folks running when using the ultra lite synthetic oils (Red Line 2 WT, 5WT, & 10 WT, or Royal Purple 2008 or 11 lite or similar). This is for a drag racing competion eliminator application with RPM's ranging from 7000 to 9500.

Thanks

You're talking information that just may not be available to outsiders. Clearances, bearing material, surface specs and other information is just not for publication. I worked on a project with a new bearing design and the principals involved were jumpy about anything leaking out. You might be surprised at what is going on inside these engines. The clearances might not be what you expect and they my be very different from a street engine. Some engines are built with an agreement to let the engine builder keep the engine fresh. The builder might not be forthcomming with all the details. It's his reputation and income stream you're dealing with.
