In case of Gear Oil 80W-90, If i am getting pour point -27 only by adding 0.3% pour point depressant then Why more pour point depressant
( about 1.0%) is used in 80W-90, is it plays any role in Brookfield viscosity

using "extra" PPD will help the Brookfield viscosity and will raise the vis like a VII.

PPD is not a cheap additive.Its cost is very high.I think,extra PPD can enhance the CCS viscosity also.
