Noticed that the new Castrol Edge has Cadmium, Lead, Arsenic in the MSDS. I've seen Neo oils use lead in the additive pack before, but the cadmium and arsenic leaves me scratching my head. First time I've seen these kinds of additives in a PCMO. Is this old hat with some formulations, or is this something fairly rare?

Seems kind of rare to me. Granted engine oil isn't exactly environmentally friendly but it looks like their trying their best to make it that way. I would also think the lead would throw off UOA results.

No offense, but I think we can debate forever on the environmental friendlyness of oil (production) ;-)

I will ask around, I know quiet some people at Castrol or their additive supplier.
