Anyone on here run Redline 5w-20? Impressive specs. My car calls for a 5w-20. I'm thinking of Amsoil 5w-20 or Redline. I wish their were more oil analysis reports on BITOG of the RL 5w-20. Redline is one of the most talked about oils on the board at BITOG. Unique chemistry and hard to read.

The best discussion of Redline and esters on this site appears to be in THIS THREAD.

Why is Redline's oil analysis so hard to read ? |

A neighbor has a Corvette that calls for 5w-20. He was burning off the dynos stuff like gasoline and switched to RE, problem solved. He drives hard all the time. Warm up is the time it takes to let off the key and pop the clutch. He does let off the gas if he thinks he's going to hit something or get a ticket, other than that, it's 'have at it'. He gets down around 10mpg and that, I think, is the real measure of engine use (abuse). In fact I think there can be an argument for changing oil after using a given amount of gasoline and to heck with the mileage.
