The Viscosity Index (VI) would depend upon the base stock used to make the oil and can vary widely.

See http://www.acppubs.com/article/CA439987.html and if it helps you, thanks for returning the favor and use my email to inquire.
(Is there a remote chance that it is "46"?

ISO VG 32, 46 or 68 are the most popular viscosities for Hydraulic oils and VG 68 by far the most widely used.

In terms of VI most oils would be in the range of 95 to 100. Heavy duty hydarulic oils have thier VI boosted from 95 or 100 to about 150 VI. This is obtained by addition of VI improvers. Current hydrocracked base oils have VI of 140+.
