Hi,

What is out of your experience the overal best choise if to choose between the next 2 choises to grease electrical motor bearings (both vertical and horizontal, most 1500 to 3000 RPM and in moderate climate (- 10°C min and 30 °C max. with far most of the time above 5 °C ):

1) Lithium grease NLGI 3 with mineral oil 120 cSt @ 40 °C (ex. SKF LGMT 3)

or

2) Lithium Complex grease NLGI 3 with mineral oil 115 cSt @ 40 °C (ex. Unirex N3)

It comes down to Li or Li-Co.

Thanks,
Guy

Hello Guy.

I think that a polyurea based grease would be a smart choice, I would choose Polyrex
If you are "constrained" to Li or Li complex, maybe you should look to Li complex, Mobilith SHC 100 is a good candidate.

Gee!!!, it seems that I am married with Mobil.. Big Grin

Best regards.

Alea jacta est.

hello, guy
Lithium grease is ok for your situation which could be used well in the temperature from -20 to 120. Lithium complex also could be used, but it is 40% expensive to lithium.
