I would like to ask if there are "reference fluids" or "reference oils" for a four ball testing machine.

It might be a calibration fluid or so, there is one at least to calibrate some other tribometers. Post your question again in the oil analysis section, those guys know more about this. Also you might call FALEX or another manufacturer of 4 ball tester.
