I am starting a program to investigate mechanism responsible for copper plating in refrigeration systems, both HCFC/mineral oil and HFC/polyolester systems. If anyone has experience with copper plating or samples with copper plating that they would like to have analyzed for free (plan on doing elemental/compositional depth profiling) I would appreciate the response. Also wondering if anyone experienced copper plating on pumps,servo valves, etc.in non-refrigerant lubricant systems?
