Any ideas on how to keep a food grade chain lubricant from migrating off a low speed 180-2 Drives chain used for a water mist spiral cooler?

Previous attempts at "tacky" oil didn't help. All it did was make the cooler cage and the "product" tacky.

Will a pulse sprayer or drip applicator help?

You didn't mention what the requirements were for the lubricant. Does it need to be a H1 (Lubricants with incidental contact) or H2 (Lubricants with no contact)? How is it applied? Oil bath, mist application, drip application or manual application? Texas Refinery Corp. makes a good USDA rated H2 moly chain oil called SURESTA Moly Chain Oil and is a excellent chain lubricant with great "sticking" power.

Also, have you considered a dry film lubricant? It would completly remove any possibility of oil dripping. .
