Does anyone know what the lubricant brand can change the almost of kluber products? Thanks for your kind help in advance. Ted |

It is a really hard to reply question.
Kluber is a highly specialized lubricant maker, and his quality is superb. I think that none of the lubricant makers not even the biggest ones, has a catalogue matched to Kluber... there are some cross reference tables across the internet, but i think that you will have to compare many brands to find the one that matches kluber tightly. In my opinion In my opinion the ones with the biggest catalogues are Mobil, Fuchs and Shell. I hope that somebody else reads your message and gives you clearer information than mine. Hi, I would sugest you look at the Fuchs Lubritech range of products. Previously they struggled to find an answer to Klubers high speed products but this has now been attended to. Their range is by far one of the widest.

You can look at products from Carl Bechem, Germany which is 170 Years Old speciality Lubricant Company and you can get almost all the replacement for Kluber. I myself have worked for Carl Bechem as well as Tribol and Optimol. You can visit on www.bechem.de for the details of the products. Though i work for a diffrent specialty Lubricant company i have very high regards for Kluber products, No Doubt they are Good. Finding replacement should be based on application and not by mere comparison of specifications, There has been many cases where spec matching products does not perform equally. My suggestion would be dont go by cross reference alone. selection of product should be based on application. We have just finished comparitive testing of polyfluoro greases, The "normal" (Barrietta, Inertox, Krytox Turnotemp Gleitmo Castrol and others) all teflon thickened all failed about 350 °C The clear winner was the J&M Specialized Products, the grease went to 500°C and was still a NLGI 2-3 consistancy, the grease was next taken up to 800°C and the fluid vaporised off leaving a free flowing white powder, with no fusing into solid agglomerations, the powder can provide lubrication opposing wear surfaces. I agree with Collins. There are many good and cheaper lubricant around for every application. But to have a good lubrication program needs not only right product but also right volume and frequency. Maintaining the optimum level of lubricant is the best to attain L10 of the bearing. Regards, Danny

Well depends, if you are specific on applications. For casters in steel mills, we have successfully replaced Klueber Stabutherm GH461 with Molykote G-0106 Sitela 1 and with successful results in last 2 years. In Motors we replaced a Klueber grease with Molykote G-0100. Again succesfully running for over a year at a steel mill.
Sometime Klueber has products that we find are over qualified for specific application (or are recommended accordingly!). As a distributor for specialty lubricant offcourse this is an interesting market for us but before a change recommendation, the application area is studied to understand the temperature, environment, speeds, load conditions, etc. A shortlist is made and based on some precedence or experience with a similar application in the past, we have often made recommendation for a changeover either for considerations of getting something more competitive or sometimes better result itself (like a grease for a pump bearing where we, i think gave a relube interval of 1 month versus a klueber relube interval of 21 days). As i said, these are specific examples I can share from my experience. BTW: why are looking for the change - availability issues, prices, service ?? I think you could also refer to the machine manufacturer for an alternative suggestion if the machine is under warranty or otherwise. There are over a hundred brands available and most OEms do give atleast 5-6 options for a suggested lubricant brand. |

Between BP products, 5 brands included, you should be able to find all you need to replace Kluber. Specially amoung Optimol; Tribol and Tribol Molub Alloy. If you need help, e-mail me. |

I am aware of products that perform as well if not better that some Kluber products.
The company who manufactures these products is able to supply extreme performance greases and industrial power transmission oils. In direct comparison between products recomended, the J&M products outperformed the so called equivalent Kluber product by at least 5 fold. In an industrial application, where the Kluber product failed within 3-4 months, the J&M product lasted well over 5 years, without change or need to have replacemnt of the lube. Hope that info is useful. |

Hi, "Special Lubricants don´t have interchange guide", there are many company who have excellents products, but no have direct interchange, a specialist of lubricants need to study of mechanical conditions of the elements that be to lubricats (RPM, Charge, °C, External influence, etc..) and then recommend a lubricant, I repeat there are many company with good lubricants (Klueber, Molykote, Optimol, Beschem, Chevron, Fuchs, etc...) but the difficult is make a good recomendation.

The question about existence of an equivalent against some Kluber products is misleading.
Unless a supplier has the exact same formulation and raw material source, no one can make claims as being "equivalent" to Kluber product. In High performance greases, where long life expentancy and heat stability is required to match the Kluber Barrietta L55, products from J&M Specialized Products in Australia can match and outperform the L55 greases especially in heat tolerance and lubricating load bearing capability. Hi, I am aware of products that compete against the worlds best.
Products made by J&M Specialized Products Australia have lubricating greases that outperform all products with heat stability, lubricating and load carrying ability. Products survive most hostile heat conditions and do not Carbonise or produce decomposition products that will eventually lock up bearings or close fitting components. Comparative tests were done in controlled conditions by R&T Technologies Laboratory Australia, and who can verifyjandm@blue1000.com.au such claims. |

There are many equivalents for Kluber depends on the application as Mr. Collins mentioned.
