The poor economic times of our industry has put us in a position of putting our lubricant vendor out for bid.Iwould appreciate any comments one would have regaurding Shell or Petro Can

Ask for guaranteed cleanness (<17/14)
Ask for oil testing including PQ and particle count and see who wins

Sorry I should qualify that. Location is everything in supply in this market. Some areas may be bad for Shell and good for Petro Can. Or vice Versa.
Being familiar with both companies in question as competitors (I'm with Texaco) I can give you an idea of logistical problems.
