How water contents increasing in lube oil of diesel power plant engine provided with dry sump with the passage of time?How chemical and physical properties of Lube oil deteriorates and why it is necessary to replace lube oil due to increased water contents?

Razi,

Whatever the condition and whatever the poll, water and lube oil are not the best of friends. Excess moisture leads to corrosion and rusting. Free water will emulsify in contact with engine oils leading to degradation of the lubricant.

In most cases the cooling system is the cause of water ingress.
