Having used Mineral iols for most of my life, my new job mandates Food grade lubricants. Is there a chart where I can get information regarding comparisons between the two types of lubricants?
Thanks.

food grade are mostly mineral based (a food grade mineral oil base oil is refined to a higher degree and cleanliness) also some synthetics are used so they are close to your mineral oil you know.

The next difference is that they are limited on type and amount of "additives" they can use both for clear light color and non toxic means NO Zn based AW hydraulic oils.

Viscositys are same and food grade is avalible in most types like hydrualic, air line, gear etc.

Better yet if you know your lubricants and already have that baeline here is a directory that you can use for a reference to verify if the lube has passed the requirements of H1,,,,,, H2 data is also avaliable from the same web site.

Hi

Unable to add an attachment. Mail me at satish@projectsalescorp.com and shall send you a FAQ on the same. Many of our F&B clients have a lot of questions during this changeover to food grade lubricants. So we have prepared a FAQ that addresses most of this questions. Regards
