Currently using an EP 320 Mist Lubricant, but is causing some undesireable stain issues. What are some recommendations on Mist Lubes and/or mechanical methods to prevent this type of contamination to our rolling oils.

Are you using this oil as a true mist application or as a gearbox lubricant? I currently use a "special mist ep 320" in gearboxes at our cold mills, but have been informed that this formulation was being discontinued from production due to low demand. I do have information on another supplier of "non-staining" oils for the aluminum industry. If you are interested contact me direct at Harold.Matroni@alcoa.com
