I was wondering if anyone had information in regards to lubrication for a glass manufacturing plant. I'm currently working on a project to minimise the impact of oil fumes that are causing hazards around glass bottle moulding machines.
The design has required that lubrication be carried out on these systems by using a mopping dope that is applied maually with a mop head. The problem that is being created is that as the mopping dope comes in contact with the equipment, the temperatures cause it to vapourise and it is then settling on anything it comes in contact with.
The biggest hazard is a slipping hazard as it settles on the floor and pools.
Does anyone have experience with this kind of problem or have a suggested solution?
We are looking at better fume extraction or a replacement for the mopping dope.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
