I would like to know where I can find info on the DBGI specifications for lubricating oils in industrial enclosed gear units: mineral & synthetic. The only classifications that I have are for Types M, A & E (mineral oil). I'm specifically looking for descriptions on Types H & G, which according to my info are synthetic lubricants. The info available on the internet seems to be scarce.

Jaques, I was involved some years ago with DB Oil recommendations. I think I still have the document, however the synthetic range was quite simply Polyglycol ie Shell Tivela range(then non EP) for phosphor bronze worm wheel drives and PAO both EP and non EP for other drives(Shell Omala HD range or Mobil SHC range). If I find the document I will be more specific.
