Hello.
I am stuck, i wonder what kind of grease fits better in alcaline and hot conditions, there is steam presence. It is for some bearings, low speed, high load, they have been using Mobilux EP2, lithium soap grease, and i wonder if mobilgrease XHP 222, lithium complex, stands better in this environment. Theorethically it does, any experience related? Alea jacta est. |

Dear Ariel,
I would like to suggest you calcium complex soap (not calcium sulphonate complex) with specially designed base oil which is resist alcaline medium to react on bearing metal. I have tried a grease which is available in India for similar application where NaoH & peroxide both medium present & the product run there for 28 days & still was under good condition but bearing relubricated because of preventive maintanence schedual (other lithium complex base grease failed within 7 days). If you are interested please give me you personal mail id where I can send you details for same. Lube Savvy |
