Dear Sirs,
We need help in improving our recycled base oil product. I will give you a brief description of our plant. We are in the process of setting up a Used automobile oil re-refining plant with a daily processing capacity of 72K LPD (72,000 liters per day). This plant will be in trail production October 2007. The process is vacuum distalation under high temprature 360 degrees centigrade (thermocracking) used oil is mixed with bentonite/fullers earth, then heated to chemically crack down. Our whole process is acid free. Then this slurry/mixture at about150 to 160 degree centigrade is sent to the filter presses for removing/separating oil from clay. Then we use centrifugal separation to get rid of last of the contaminants. Then we get the final product which is not very good in colour 2.5 to 3.5 (ASTM 1500) and offcourse the oxidation stability is not good. Therefor we wish to obtain the technology and know how for Hyro-finishing / Hydro-treating, which could be incorporated in our existing plant. The final product of our plant is re-cycled Base oil / Lubricants base stock, so we wish to improve our final product by hydro finishing it with hydrogen under pressure. So that we can produce a better product with better colour ( ASTM D 1500-- 1.0 to 1.5 ), Odourless and better oxidation stability, (which is a prepetual stigma with the recycled base oils) This is my main requirment. Could you also recomend a hydrogen generating process/machinery. We do not have natural gas supply, but LPG is available in bowsers. We have plenty of Electricity and heating fuels available. Thanking you in anticipation, waiting for your replies. Fuad |
