We are using Phosphate ester/ Fyrquel hydraulic fluid in our steam turbine application and have been experiencing a declining resistivity in our fluid over the past three years. The Resistivity is presently at the minimum recommended at 5 G ohm/cm. All other analysis such as Acid, Chlorine, Particluate and metals are all well within specs. What is the main contributor of decreasing resistivity and what detremental effects can result from this condition?
