Has anyone used the T.R.A.P breather from the Donaldson Corporation? If so do you feel that it worked as well as a desiccant breather for keeping moisture out the system? Has anyone taken before and after oil samples to determine the effectiveness of the T.R.A.P breather? I am thinking of using this breather and I want to be sure that it will keep moisture and particulate out of my hydraulic units and gearboxes.

We currently have 6 or so installed in various locations around the site for the last 6 months. Initial performance is encouraging, although we have yet to accurately quantify that. We have just modified our sample analysis for more accurate water content tracking and are hopeful this will confirm our "gut feel".
