Can pressure induced dieseling or pressure induced thermal degredation occur in high vacuum scenarios for diesel fuel filtration? In a partially clogged filter, where vacuum rises to 10 or 15 inches of mercury and ambient temp is 100F, for instance? The fuel certainly vaporizes, but does it micro combust when the vapor bubbles colapse?
Any idea where I could find a chart graphing vaporization points of diesel fuel for given temp and vacuum?

Diesel fuel/oil hydrocarbons have 13 to 15 carbon atoms. Their boiling points are between 250°C/482°F and 350°C/662°F. I doubt that the vacuum encountered in a diesel fuel filtration system could vaporize the fuel without a significant amount of heat being applied to it.
