In the article "Understanding Filter Efficiency and Beta Ratios," The author says that the Absolute rating is the size of the largest particle that will pass through the filter. I thought the Absolute rating was the size of the particle for which the filter had a Beta rating of at least 75 (98.7% efficiency). Which is right?

As I understand it,
Absolute can be measured by looking at the filter media with a microscope. Beta ratio takes an actual flow test. I trust Betas. |
