Hi tedy
We have just finished comparitive testing of polyfluoro greases,
The "normal" (Barrietta, Inertox, Krytox Turnotemp Gleitmo Castrol and others) all teflon thickened all failed about 350 °C
The clear winner was the J&M Specialized Products, the grease went to 500°C and was still a NLGI 2-3 consistancy, the grease was next taken up to 800°C and the fluid vaporised off leaving a free flowing white powder, with no fusing into solid agglomerations, the powder can provide lubrication opposing wear surfaces.
Feel free to email if further info of use lab@rttech.com.au
