Reply to "Fire Resistant Hydraulic fluid"

Water Glycol offer poor anti-wear and need to be continuously monitors for water to glycol ratio as well as for PH. They are a PITA and a poor mans choice. Phosphate esters Hydrolyze easily in the presence of moisture and turn very corrosive and acidic. They are however self extinguishing. Poll Esters offer much better lubricity and better defence against hydrolyzing but PAGs are not affected by moisture so Hydrolyzing is not an issue, have extremely long fluid life, very good anti-wear and corrosion resistance and are safe to handle. EcoSafe FR fro ACT is a no brainer as it does everything you want it to do and nothing negative.
