Dear Hrandy,
Metals were removed from engine lubricant formulations to accommodate the mandated 100,000 mile catalytic converter warranty requirements here in the USA. Vehicles made before the cut off date (Ask your dealer) had no such requirements. The best recommendation is to use a high quality oil with the API Service and certification symbols.
