Iron(Fe) in Diesel Engine

In our facility have two caterpillar diesel engine(Model ZAN 9160&8560)using Caltex 15W40 lube oil which are normally in standby but we have found Iron level increasing(>100ppm). Usually sampling done from the filter upstream.,
All other parameters are in normal trend.
Please suggest the possible source of Iron(Fe)
