Hi Tim, it's nice of you to reply with up-to-date info. I recently acquired a 1985 Yamaha Virago XV1000 with 33 000 kms, so have been doing a lot of reading on bikes and suitable lubricants. Frankly, I should have bought a lighter, more maneuverable first bike.

I read that Amsoil sheet on their cycle oil and was impressed enough to decide that that's what I'm going to use from now on along with Purolator's motorcycle oil filter.

Btw, I'm a newbie biker. I'm signed up for a course, and hopefully, before I kill myself. It's a jungle out there...

The bike was service at a nearby Yamaha dealer. I told them to change out all the fluids. The motor oil is one I've not heard of: EXP Synthetic Oil 10W40.
