Reply to "What's the best oil additive on the market?"

In my opinion, the very best oil additive (or friction reducer) is Tufoil.

I'm sure you've all heard of it. It's been around for like 23 years or more.

Tufoil holds the Guinness World Record for the slickest substance on the planet.

It's also one of the most durable additives you can buy, too. Other products tend to burn up at around five minutes on the four-ball wear test machine thingy, and the Tufoil lasted 16 days.

But it's not for everyone. It didn't do well in my Volvo XC70 turbo wagon. It was so slick that my engine would fly into the red as I was trying to get into traffic on the freeway with the turbo fully spooled up. I kind of think that revealed a weakness in my auto tranny, but I took it out anyway. Unsafe in my Volvo.

It works wonders in manual trannies and diffs. It's like taking 500 lbs out of your trunk by dosing all of your gear oils.

You can get it at Pep Boys for around $15.
